Dad we miss you...
This site is dedicated to George John Leslie Powell born 13th July 1913 and died 23rd December 2006. We miss you Dad, you will always be in our hearts and our memories.

George is survived by his sons Keith, Chris and Adam, daughters Susan and Marion, 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his younger brother Bert.

He enjoyed extensive travel during military service in Egypt, Burma, The North West Frontier and the jungles of Malaya, where he obtained an MBE.

Joined Royal Corps of Signals 18 Jun 1936 on Regular Army Engagement
Discharged after 22 years of service 17 Jun 1958 with the Colours.
